Welcome to the St. Sabina School Library
The St. Sabina School Library has over 6,000 books for students to check out and enjoy.
During weekly library time students read books, work on literature and research projects,
and learn library skills. All books in the library are barcoded and each student is assigned
their own Patron Barcode for easy checkout of library products. The bar code system enables
the librarian to track circulation and operate the library efficiently.
St. Sabina School Librarian, Mrs. Muliett, teaches students to take advantage of available
resources and develop a reasonable level of self-reliance. She instructs on the proper use
of the Dewey Decimal System. Students are instructed how to locate books by author, title, subject, keyword, or call numbers and shelving order. They learn to choose valid subject headings that are appropriate for a topic.
The library sponsors several special events during the year to include Scholastic Spring Reading
Book Fair, Poetry Contests, and Book Sales.
Our library is a member of the MCCLA - Michigan Chapter Catholic Library Association.
